It has been nearly a century since Kaua`i has seen a new large capacity hydroelectric plant. Gay & Robinson is actively developing the next, on an existing irrigation ditch system. Its rated capacity of 6.5 megawatts equals roughly 10 percent of Kaua`i’s average electrical use. It should be online as early as next year.
Join us to learn more about the development of this new hydroelectric plant and its promise for Kauai`ʻs electrical future.
With speaker, Howard Greene, Environmental Manager, Gay & Robinson.
