Join NTBG Conservation Biologist Seana Walsh as she discusses her research of the ‘ālula, a plant known only from Kaua’i and Ni’ihau that is believed to be extinct in the wild. Seana will talk about her research to help inform conservation efforts for this and other rare Hawaiian plants. She will also discuss how to maintain genetic diversity among cultivated plants by partnering with other botanical gardens and institutions. Part of NTBG-KCC’s Balance of Nature lecture series.
