DOTTY NAKEA MEMORIAL SPEAKER PROGRAM and PRINCEVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY  proudly present

Antarctica (Another Paradise)

Kalasara Setaysha, Koholā Leo Organization

In March, 2016, Kalasara Setsaya went to Antarctica on a whale research trip sponsored by the American Cetacean Society. The purpose of the trip was to learn how climate change is affecting the humpback whale population in Antarctica. In addition to participating in this research effort, Kalasara learned about Antarctica’s precious ecosystem and how it affects all the world’s oceans.

Through her photography, Kalasara will take you on a journey of whale research and discovery at the bottom of the world.

This Free event is sponsored by the Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville as part of the Dotty Nakea Memorial Speaker Program and by the Princeville Public Library.

To request a sign language interpreter, please call the Princeville Public Library (826-4310) at least 2 weeks prior to the program.

The views expressed in this presentation are those of the speaker and do not constitute an endorsement by the Hawaii State Public Library System, the Princeville Public Library or the Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville.
