This course will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from
May 30th to June 27th at 6-8pm in Kilauea, HI.
This course explores improvisational theater as a healing modality. Improv connects us to our creativity and childlike sense of play. We all have an inner child that loves to pretend and have fun, and improv provides a space to fully engage that part of ourselves. Through practicing improv, our creativity becomes more accessible and fluid. We learn to spontaneously allow our creative nature to come forth, just like we did naturally as children.
The course will feature playful group circle games, improv exercises, and relational authenticity practices. These exercises are designed to help us let go of overthinking, cultivate vulnerability and authenticity, melt rigidity and fearful patterns around our creativity, and sink into embodied presence and flow with each other and the group mind.
A core intention of this course is SAFE SPACE! No one is forced to get up in front of everyone, and all are welcome to play, share, and express at whatever level feels comfortable for them. This is not a performance class.
Early Registration Price: $220 by May 25th, $245 after.
There is limited space. The course is capped at 12 participants and is expected to fill quickly. Register now to make sure you get a spot!
