Please save Saturday morning, October 21, 2017 to lend a hand celebrating National Make a Difference Day in Lydgate Park.
Expect to be served snacks and a delicious lunch courtesy of the many local businesses supporting these community workdays.
Your energy and aloha spirit make the tasks a breeze as the Friends of Kamalani tend to maintaining the Kamalani Playground, clear marine debris from Lydgate Park’s beaches, and continue painting the play bridge at the South end of the park!
This Make a Difference Day the Friends of Kamalani and Lydgate Park will commemorate Tim Bynum’s selfless leadership by dedicating the Kamalani Kai Bridge to his honor. Tim passed last year after serving several terms on the Kaua‘i County council. He coordinated the 1994 construction of Kamalani
Playground and the 2001 Kamalani Kai Bridge build, and secured funding for the new sports fields in Lydgate Park.
If you’d like to participate as a volunteer you can register here to volunteer that day. If you can bring a group of volunteers please call or text 808-639-1018 with any questions.
Sign-in at 7:30 AM, Saturday, October 21 in the Lydgate Park Main Pavilion. We’ll be pau by 12 Noon and serving lunch. Please wear shoes, dress for outdoor work projects, and bring your own sun protection, water bottle, and gloves.
