The pidgin of Hawaii is our Creole, a language-blending common to island cultures everywhere.  The vocabulary Includes words borrowed from Hawaiian, English, Japanese and Portuguese as well as dialects of Filipino and Chinese. Unfortunately, newcomers and visitors often mistake pidgin for bad English. In this session, participants will learn a number of words and expressions they may find useful to understand as they discover the richness and humor of our island culture.
