Royal Court Investiture followed by Lu`au

Saturday, August 25

Smith’s Tropical Paradise Garden in Wailua is the location for the annual investiture of the Royal Court that takes place during the Aloha Week season.

The procession will begin with the blowing of the Pu (Conch Shell) which signifies the arrival of the Royal Ali`i. After the investiture, the Royal Court will be treated to Ho`okupu (gifts),  mele (song) and hula. Gardens open at 4:30 p.m., investiture is at 5:15 p.m.

Afterwards, stay for the traditional Hawaiian lu`au feast prepared by the Smith `Ohana, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets range from $19 to $78. Call for reservations at 808-821-6895.
