Kaua`i musician and teacher David Braun will kick off the West Side Talent Fest on Friday, Dec. 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Garden of Peace at the Storybook Theatre in Hanapepe. Braun, a Chicago-trained jazz musician, will perform on piano, trumpet and ukulele, as well as sing.

Talented youth from the West Side will play ukulele and sing, plus there will be trumpeters, gloving — check it out — and plenty of songsters. Also, the Waimea Canyon Middle School  will have a variety of musical groups perform.

The fest founders encourage donations, but nobody will be turned away. Help support live music, local artists, and Kaua`i` youth.

This Fest is part of the First Friday Concert Series at Hanapepe’s Storybook Theatre in the Sparky M. Matsunaga International Children’s Garden for Peace.  For further information, call 335-0712; or visit online at www.storybook.org.
