Women in Theatre (WIT) announces auditions on Saturday and Sunday, September 8 and 9 at 1 p.m. for a premiere dinner theatre production of Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple — Female Version.

Auditions will take place at the Aston Aloha Beach Hotel just south of the Wailua Bridge. All actors must attend Saturday auditions and plan on attending Sunday’s callbacks.

Cass Foster, professor emeritus of theatre, will direct the production. He has directed for numerous universities and theatres throughout the mainland. In Hawai`i, he directed The Complete History of America: Abridged Kaua`i’s longest running comedy.

Email Cass at Cass613@gmail.com to confirm you’ll be there Saturday or to let him know if you’re unable to attend Saturday or Sunday and would like to be auditioned. Eight men and women are needed. Four female and the two male roles are small parts but hysterically funny.

Actors must be at least 21.

Performances will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the last weekend of November and the first two weekends of December.

Please contact Foster if you’re interested in serving as stage manager, assistant stage manager, assistant to the director or understudy. WIT provides numerous opportunities in all aspects of theatre.

To initiate phone contact, call the WIT hotline at 635-3727 and leave your name and phone number.
