Free workshops by the Public Access Room (PAR) to help citizens learn to effectively participate in Hawaii’s lawmaking process will be offered at several locations on Kauai, October 13th – 16th.
Topics include effective lobbying & testimony; understanding the process, deadlines, and power dynamics; website tools; helpful handouts and guides; and delving into matters of interest to participants. The 90-minute workshop is designed to be useful to both newcomers and veterans of the legislative process.
All welcome, no registration or prior experience required. PAR is the public’s non-partisan resource office at the State Capitol. Additional workshops may be arranged, as time permits.
