A photographic exhibit covering the history and culture of Japanese Americans in Hawaii. The exhibit covers the initial immigration of Issei (first generation immigrants) from Japan in the late 1800s to modern day Hawaii, showing how the Nikkei (overseas Japanese) in Hawaii have merged their Japanese cultural values with the blend of cultures in Hawaii. Hours: Thurs 11am-3 pm; Fri, Sept 7, 6:30-8:30 pm; Fri, Sept 14 and 21, 11am-8:30 pm; Sat 11am-3 pm; Sun 11am-2 pm. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
