September 8, 2018 9:00 am - 2:30 pm
We mainly explore the wonderful hiking trails of Kauai as a way of appreciating Kauai’s natural beauty, socializing, and exercising. My free hikes will be on alternate Saturdays and generally be at an intermediate level (defined by me as 5-10 miles in length with 1000-3000 feet elevation gain). We will explore all sides of the lovely island of Kauai.
On Saturday, September 8, we will hike (weather permitting) Nounou Mountain, which is also more popularly called “Sleeping Giant” and offers spectacular panoramic views of the East Side of Kauai. We will explore the mountain on several trails.
With a hike length of about 5 miles and about 1500 feet of elevation gain, our hike will be at a low intermediate-level.
