Kauai Historical Society’s Poi Pounding, Ku’i’ai, workshop. Tour Kauai Community College lo’i, poi field, to learn how to use a pohaku ku’i’ai, or poi pounder, in the style of Hawaiian Kupuna. Taught by Joshua Fusion, who appreciated with Jerry Konanui, a cultural practitioner, specializing in Hawaiian kalo varieties. Josh has taught people, keiki to kupuna, now to practice ku’i’ai, or traditional kalo pounding with board and stone. Kauai Historical Society members – $5, Non-members – $12, Children under 12 – Free. Fun for the whole family!!
