Mountain Apple Workshop
Join Aletha as she takes you through the Mountain Apple Conserve-making process from start to finish. The roll of sugar and spices, the importance of lemon juice and how to add it, and how to test accurately for doneness. This workshop begins with light pupus, a conserve tasting and discussion, then proceeds to the cooking process. This useful condiment is meant to be served with roasts, grilled or cold meats as a relish or paired with cheeses. A delightful and unexpected use for our abundance of summer Mountain Apples.
Each attendee will be a part of creating a batch of Mountain Apple Conserve and have the opportunity to take home one completed jar.
Date/Time: Thursday, August 9th, 2018, 5-7pm
Workshop Includes: Hands on, personal instruction, all needed supplies, Mountain Apple Conserve recipe, light pupus and one jar of class-made Mountain Apple Conserve to enjoy at home.
