St. Michael and All Angels Church

The Kauai Historical Society presents 2 short plays centering on Queen Emma (portrayed by Denyse Woo-Ockerman) and Queen Liliuokalani (by Jacquelyn Pualani Johnson). Set in their homes, these wahine alii relate personal perspectives not revealed to others about their crises and triumphs of their lives, and especially their love and concern for the Hawaiian people. The plays were written by Ms. Johnson, UH-Hilo theatre professor. Seating limited in the sociual hall of St. Michael and All Angels Church, Lihue; reservations recommended.
