Ulu (Breadfruit) Workshop
In this 2-hour workshop, one of MPJ’s favorite farmers, Collin Dana, of Lawai will guide us through the many stages and uses for ulu. He is passionate about breadfruit and the numerous ways it can easily be integrated into our diet. The focus of this workshop is to share what types of breadfruit are best used in what dishes. Maturity at harvest dictates how ulu should be used in the kitchen. Aletha will be preparing various breadfruit dishes to share and demonstrating techniques needed to use for success.
Each attendee will sample various ulu dishes, learn preparation and cooking techniques along with a practical understanding of how to best utilize this incredibly abundant food. Recipes will be shared for home use.
Date/Time: Thursday, August 2nd, 2018, 5-7pm
Workshop Includes: Hands on, personal instruction, all needed supplies, ulu recipes and information. Light pupus highlighting ulu will be served.
