A VSH Kauai presentation by Troy Schacht. Troy will freely share his heart, gardening knowledge, produce, and cuttings (starts) to help inspire you on the path of simple and easy gardening. Cuttings that he will freely share at this event to start your own include: yacón, turmeric, lemongrass, sugar cane, bananas, pacific spinach, Cuban oregano, Brazilian spinach, mint, sweet potatoes, perennial peanuts, and angel wing begonias. He’ll cover common weeds which he has lots of experience eating, methods for composting and improving soil, ground covers, and other food crops that are easy to start and grow well.

At Sun Village Clubhouse 3-3400 Kuhio Hwy, Lihue

(Please park in visitor parking only, to avoid being towed. Overflow parking will be at the hospital.)

Free admission to the lecture.

For the potluck dinner, please bring a VEGAN dish

(with recipe / ingredient list), or a donation—$10 suggested (free for children 12 and under).
