Dispelling Vegan Myths, Kauai Style

There are many myths and beliefs around the “difficulty” of being vegan, especially on Kauai. Michelle will help dispel some common myths while providing useful information and resources to support having a plant based lifestyle on Kauai. Michelle’s passion for plant based eating began as a health quest while healing from major surgery. It began with changing her belief system around being vegan. Whether you have been vegan for years, new to plant based living or just plant curious, you are sure to learn how to successfully eat out almost anywhere on island, support local farmers and to choose a plant based lifestyle out of self love, yes even here on Kauai .

Michelle Lemay has been in the tourism industry for over 13 years and has traveled extensively. Most recently she was a food tour guide on Kauai focusing on restaurants and food trucks that promoted locally sourced food. Michelle’s knowledge of island wide resources has allowed her to help others with their transition to a more plant based lifestyle. Michelle is a self proclaimed foodie and has recently discovered that the kitchen is NOT a foreign destination and now loves creating plant based meals..
