Most writers struggle at times with our ‘internal critic’ who whispers nasty little messages in our ears such as ‘What makes you think you can write?’ or ‘Why are you even trying this—you know you’ll fail!’ In this workshop, award-winning mainland author Dorothy Hinshaw Patent will help writers learn how to express themselves in fresh, spontaneous language and how to polish what they have written. In addition to writing 140 books issued by major publishers, she has taught many workshops and classes at the Yellowstone Institute, University of Montana, Volcano Art Center, and the Island School on Kaua’i.
Workshop Saturday March 18, 9am-4pm, Kapa’a Public Library, 4-1464 Kuhio Hwy. Cost $75, cash or check.
