The National Tropical Botanical Garden and Women Artists of Kaua‘I reconnect for their 4th Annual Summer Fine Art Festival to take place on NTBG’s ‘Ohana Day, Sunday, June 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the South Shore Visitors Center across from Spouting Horn.

In a tropical garden setting, meet and talk story with some of Kauai’s most prolific women artists and take home their work.

Patrice Pendarvis, Caylin Spear, Donia Lilly, Lilian de Mello, Dawn Lundquist and Marionette Taboniar will discuss their creative process. Look for demonstrations, gallery quality art in a variety of styles and media with a portion of sales proceeds supporting NTBG.

Live Hawaiian music will be provided by Mahea and Friends from 10 a.m. to noon. Dr. Matthew Miller will entertain on his guitar from noon to 2 p.m.

Chalupa’s Mexican Food is the vendor of choice, serving authentic tamales, burritos, tacos, enchiladas and more.

The mission of the National Tropical Botanical Garden is to enrich life through discovery, scientific research, conservation & education by perpetuating the survival of plants, ecosystems, & cultural knowledge of tropical regions.

The Women Artists of Kaua‘i promotes the works of female artists on the island while raising funds for local charities on Kaua`i. All works are original, consisting of paintings, prints, photography, drawings, sculptures, pottery, mixed-media, metal, glass, fabric and textile art, or digital art.
