Based on a true, inspiring movie
Give the family and kids a break tonight, Wednesday, June 27. Head to Children of the Land for the free showing of a family movie. Starring Harry Connick, Jr., Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman, Dolphin Tale will start at 7 p.m.
The film will be hosted by Kohola Leo. Children of the land is located next to Papaya’s in Kaua`i Village, the mall anchored by Safeway.
The book and film are inspired by the true story of Winter, a bottlenose dolphin rescued in December 2005 off the Florida coast and taken in by the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Winter lost her tail after becoming entangled with a rope attached to a crab trap and was fitted with a prosthetic one.
