The 2016 Food Justice Summit held at the Performing Arts Center at Kaua‘i Community College Jan. 17 was the third of the summit’s four stops statewide.

The summit’s aim was to connect the dots of local and global struggles and move together toward restoring a fairer and more sustainable food system. Four women from distinct backgrounds, Africa, Asia, Central America and Europe, spoke to about 200 people attending the event at KCC.

The summit was put together by the Hawai‘i Alliance for Progressive Action and the Pesticide Action Network.
