A Ma‘afala variety of breadfruit tree is seen here at the National Tropical Botanical Gardens headquarters in Kalaheo. This tree was part of the first batch of 300 breadfruit trees cloned in Canada, from a bud sent by Diane Ragone, director of the Breadfruit Institute at NTBG.
