KVMH Charitable Foundation to Receive RumFire’s Table 53 Profits in January

During the first month of 2018, as you dine in style in one of the best restaurants on the South Shore of Kaua‘i, all the profits from your dinner will go straight to benefit the health and wellness of our community. Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital Charitable Foundation has been selected as the January 2018 beneficiary for RumFire’s Table 53.

RumFire Poipu Beach at Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort has raised more than $200,000 through its Table 53 charity program since first launching it in October 2012. The program donates all net food and beverage proceeds from the designated table to local nonprofit organizations.

Located in Waimea on the Westside of the island, Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital provides a full range of healthcare services, including 24-hour emergency services, a family birth center, imaging services, surgery, rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing and more. The hospital’s charitable foundation raises funds for new hospital equipment. Funds raised through Table 53 will be used to purchase an infection control wheelchair washer for KVMH.

Sheraton Kaua‘i recognizes that the vitality of the resort is directly linked to the vitality of the community where it operates. In previous months, Table 53 has raised funds for charitable programs that serve the island in various ways, including feeding the island’s hungry, supporting Kaua‘i’s keiki, supporting cultural organizations and more.

The innovative menu at RumFire Poipu Beach features locally sourced cuisine with global influences and an extensive cocktail menu that includes the largest rum selection on Kaua‘i. Table 53 is a private booth with ocean views that overlooks a beautifully landscaped courtyard, inviting fire pits and stunning sunsets. Patrons enjoy the restaurant’s diverse offerings, such as the beet-stained Maui Nui venison tartare, or a “flight” of entrees with local favorites like misoyaki butterfish and wasabi pea-crusted ahi, all while supporting a great cause. The program reminds guests, “The more you dine, the more we donate.”

Patrons who are interested in participating in the Table 53 program at RumFire are encouraged to make reservations in advance by calling 808 742 4786 and requesting Table 53. The table is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Net proceeds for all food and beverages at Table 53 during dinner service will be donated to the charity of the month, with gratuity paid to the server and taxes remitted to the State of Hawai‘i.
