Auditions for “A Few Good Men”

The Kauai Community Players announces auditions for the military courtroom drama, “A Few Good Men”, written by Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, Network); the KCP production will be directed by Dennis McGraw, the gifted director that brought us Arthur Miller’s “All My Sons”.  “A few Good Men”, will open on May 2^nd, and run for three weekends with a possible fourth weekend holdover.

Auditions will be held at the Puhi Theatrical Warehouse on Thursday, February 20^th, from 3 to 7pm, and on Saturday, February 22^nd , from noon till 4pm.  We are looking for a cast of 21: 20 men –mostly in their twenties – and one woman. Come prepared to read from a script.

This Broadway hit about the trial of two Marines for complicity in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay sizzles on stage. The Navy lawyer, a callow young man more interested in softball games than the case, expects a plea bargain and a cover up of what really happened. Prodded by a female member of his defense team, the lawyer eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in so doing, puts the military mentality and the Marine code of honor on trial.
