Shelby Shimazu teaching hula to visitors
By Léo Azambuja
Every Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., Kaua‘i’s biggest little town brings a pulse of arts, good food and entertainment to Hanapepe Road.
The Hanapepe Art Night started in 1997, and soon became a magnet for street artists, musicians, performers, food booths and vendors. The galleries, stores and restaurants also keep their doors. The result is a vibrant evening for local residents and visitors.
