Kukui Grove Center to Hold 14^th Annual Kaua’i Independent Food Bank Holiday Kick-off Food Drive

The 2016 Holiday Kick-Off Food Drive will be held on October 1st

Kukui Grove Center in partnership with Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank is pleased to announce the 2016 Holiday Kick-Off Food Drive onOctober 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Kukui Grove Center will match $1 for every food item, or canned good that is donated, up to $1500. Kukui Grove will also be rewarding the merchant who collects the most for the Holiday Kick-off Food Drive with a pizza party for their team.

“We are honored to partner with Kaua’i Independent Food Bank, this is great opportunity for Kukui Grove Center and the community to help those in need during the holiday season.  This food drive helps many families throughout the island, and also helps spread awareness about the serious issue of food insecurity,” said Wade Lord, General Manager of Kukui Grove Center.

The 2016 Holiday Food Drive runs from October 1 – December 31, 2016. The Kaua’i Independent Food Bank provides vital meals to families in need across Kaua’i. The goal of the 2016 Holiday Food Drive is to raise $40,000 and 40,000 pounds of food to help Kaua’i families through the holiday season.
