The Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association Kauai Chapter will host the 39th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk. The walk will start at 7 a.m. at the Historic County Building and take walkers through Lihu’e on a 2.9 mile route. The Charity Walk is open to the public and everyone is welcome to participate. Those under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult and walkers under the age of 18 must have walker form application signed by a parent or guardian. Hanalei Canoe Club will run the annual Haena to Hanalei Run. Free shuttle buses will leave from the Hanalei Pier from 4:45 am to 5:45 am; the race begins at 7 am. The 8-mile race will be followed by awards and a pancake breakfast. There is also a 5K run that starts and finishes at Black Pot, plus a one-mile youth run.
